Can I start learning for free?

The Hangul course is completely free to use, and you can learn 5 vocabulary words per day completely free. To unlock all content, you can subscribe to Jamo Korean Premium which is much more affordable than other alternatives.

Do I need any prior knowledge of Korean?

Not at all! Jamo Korean includes a comprehensive, interactive Hangul course designed for absolute beginners. You'll master reading, writing (with stroke-order guides), and typing from day one.

How does the vocabulary learning work?

We use a scientific Spaced Repetition System (SRS) based on the FSRS algorithm. Instead of simple flashcards, you learn through interactive exercises. Our interactive exercises include typing, drawing, and multiple-choice to build real muscle memory.

What makes Jamo's stories different?

Our stories (currently in development!) include rich information about each and every sentence. Every sentence includes audio, translations, and romanization. You can tap any word for an instant grammar breakdown. The stories also integrate seamlessly with your spaced repetition review queue.

Does the app teach grammar too?

Yes! We have a dedicated grammar course (currently in development!) that complements our vocabulary and story modules.

What kind of exercises are included?

To ensure you don't just 'recognize' words but can actually use them, we include varied exercise types: stroke-order writing for characters, full-sentence typing, listening comprehension, and contextual selection.
